Isabel was active in drama during her time at school. She then went on to pursue a degree in drama in the Victorian College of Arts Queensland University of Technology and also recently studied her studies in the PEM Method (Perdekamp Emotional Method). It was not until she auditioned for parts until she was discovered by her agent in 2002. She was cast for the role of Home and Away, 1988. Although they didn't think she was suitable to play the role, production team was so impressed that they decided to create a second role for Tasha. In the three-year period she worked as an actress on television, Isabel won the Logie Award. In 2008, Isabel was moved to Los Angeles. In 2009, her breakthrough role was in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. In the time since, she has starred and won awards in numerous US films as in Australian ones. Isabel was recently seen on Bosh & Rockit a fast-emerging Australian classic film, and is set to appear in the soon-to be released thriller Lunacy. Isabel recently finished Sons of Summer. She is also in the pre-production stage for her character Marie Curie with award winning writer/director Annika Glas.
